FEDEMAC will be delighted to welcome the young movers from all over Europe and additional countries for the great and exciting Young Movers Conference 2012 to be held in Budapest, Hungary.
The young movers started more than 20 years ago with their first conference held in Ile des Embiez, Cote D'Azur in France. It was a small group of young people of about 30 persons interested in exchanging opinions and views on the European moving business and future. The participants were enthusiastic about the opportunity to get professional input and to make business contacts with each other. From this beginning they felt excited about the idea to hold future YMCs.
But during the following years it was not always easy to find people to take over the responsibility and the huge workload of organizing, arranging and holding the conference.
So in the first decade the YMCs were held in countries where strong national movers associations already existed for some time, willing to support the young professionals.
- In 1991 and 1997 the conference was held in France
- In 1993 and 1999 Germany hosted the YMC
- In 1994 and 2000 the United Kingdom was the place to be
- In 1995 and 2001 the Netherlands were delighted to welcome the young movers.
In the following years the young movers were invited to new locations. They came to Luxembourg, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Greece, again Germany, Romania,Italy, Malta and now: Budapest.
The conference grew and grew over the years. We are proud that nowadays more than 170 attendees from about 20 Countries attend the YMCs. We are certain to reach 200 participants in the near future.
Today the young movers are proud to invite their colleagues for the next YMC.
What makes this conference so exciting? It is the combination of getting interesting input from the speakers and to discuss with each other about our profession and to exchange experiences and opinions on an informal basis. The sponsors contribute with outstanding information on their products and services offered. But the young movers also have a lot of fun together. For sure! The social events are a good opportunity to enlarge and strengthen the network. It makes the work of the young movers much easier for the future, knowing whom to contact directly if assistance is needed at a foreign location.
FEDEMAC wishes all participants a very good YMC 2012 with interesting discussions, making new friends, deepening the existing relationships and an enjoyable time in Budapest.
With our enthusiastic thanks to the Organization Team of the Young Movers Conference 2012!
